How compounded ED treatment works
PDE5 inhibitors like tadalafil and sildenafil work by relaxing smooth muscle in blood vessel walls, increasing blood flow. They are the most well-studied class of medications for erectile dysfunction and have been prescribed for over two decades.
Sildenafil and tadalafil are compounded at U.S.-licensed 503(A) pharmacies. These are FDA-approved active ingredients; the compounded dosage forms are not FDA-approved as finished products.
All prescriptions are issued after a licensed physician reviews your health history, current medications, and cardiovascular risk factors. Monthly check-ins are included.
